A Message from the Club President

In today's busy world it's easy to get lost in all the challenges we face everyday. However it is a good idea to stop from time to time and take stock of the blessings you are given everyday also. Perhaps it's your family, your health, your employment, or your friendships. Whatever shape or shapes your good fortune takes, if we don't pause to pay attention we lessen our lives and the lives of those around us. As it has been said many time, true happiness comes in the journey of life, not in the destination. The impact you can have on other lives is a gift I believe you can not ignore, or take lightly. In the words of Christopher Robin, "To the world you are just one person, but to one person you are the World". This is why I am a Rotarian. Through the efforts of Rotary I can make a difference in my community and throughout the World. With over 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide, we are working together to make a difference. Since 1985 Rotarians have worked to eradicate Polio from the face of the earth, and while we have not fully succeeded yet, we are very close. That is a mission worth seeing through. For $30 you can give someone the gift of sight by having a cataract removed, that changes not only one persons life but the entire family and in turn the community.
